Earlier this year our Maria unit was invited by our local State MP Mr Lee Evans to attend the New South Wales Parliament to learn about our state legislative system.
The girls were very excited about this opportunity and duly dressed for the occasion. They were able to learn about the “house” from Mr Evans who had organised a tour for them. The tour also included seeing the catering facilities used to service the parliament and a lunch afterwards.
A highlight was the opportunity to meet the Premier Mr Mike Baird who was very encouraging in his support of the Dunlea Centre’s mission and gracious with his time.
