CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE

CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE

Dunlea Centre acknowledges the increasing concerns regarding the spread of Coronavirus. We are currently adhering to advice from NSW Health, Catholic Schools NSW (CSNSW) and Association of Independent Schools NSW (AISNSW). Members of the Leadership Team are accessing updates regularly throughout each day to ensure we remain current in our approach. Current advice is to remain open and continue providing our full program to our young people and families.

COVID-19 transmission is similar to seasonal influenza, practicing same precautions to minimise spread of influenza will assist with protection against COVID-19:

• Basic hand hygiene – using hand sanitiser/soap and water every 20 mins

• Cough etiquette – cough into elbow/tissue

• Stay home if feeling unwell

• Cleaning all surfaces regularly

• Keeping 1.5 metres away from others

Dunlea Centre is keeping staff and young people informed of the current situation regarding COVID-19 and proactively educating young people on basic hygiene. There are currently no diagnosed cases at Dunlea Centre. CSNSW and AISNSW are currently advising that should a young person or staff member be diagnosed with COVID-19, NSW Health will provide direction immediately. In the meantime, we encourage all parents/carers, young people, staff, volunteers and contractors to adhere to the hygiene advice as listed above.

If you require any further information, please contact Dunlea Centre.
