Residential Care
Dunlea Centre, Australia’s Original Boys’ Town provides a comprehensive holistic program for young people and also assists their families to improve relationships with each other and reduce family disruption and discord. One key element of our program is our Residential Care. Students live on campus Monday to Friday, allowing some space between the student and their family which helps to bring about necessary changes.
Within the first 2 – 3 weeks of enrolment we develop a Personalised Learning Plan, (PLP) for each student. These are individually tailored and offer a unique blueprint of care and education which is regularly utilised by our multidisciplinary teaching team.
In May 2017, Samantha Dennis was appointed the role of Residential Manager. Samantha is responsible for our dynamic and engaging residential program. She works closely with staff and our young people to ensure the continuation of our therapeutic program in a fun learning environment whilst gaining necessary life skills in a residential setting.
