The Dunlea Dharawal Walk was officially opened with a smoking ceremony and a didgeridoo performance. This outdoor learning space was designed in collaboration with the local aboriginal community and is dedicated to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander culture,...Geraldine Gray, commonly known as Gerry, is the Chair of Dunlea Centre Board. Gerry has a strong affiliation with Dunlea Centre, Australia’s Original Boys’ Town, connected through her support whilst she was the Education Consultant for the Catholic Education Commission NSW. She then joined the Board in May 2016.
Gerry’s leadership skills and experience in special education make her an excellent choice for leading Dunlea Centre into the future. Her dedication to the organisation, and her demonstrated commitment to the mission, is evident through her years of service. Gerry expresses excitement about the opportunities that lie ahead for Dunlea Centre and is enthusiastic about collaborating with the talented individuals who serve on the Board.
Paul Mastronardi has been the Executive Director of Dunlea Centre since 2012. Prior to his appointment, he worked for the Catholic Education Commission in the Welfare Directorate.
Paul has had many years in education and counselling, being involved in various leadership roles across the sectors. Paul was initially trained as a teacher but quickly developed a keen interest in marginalised youth.
This growing curiosity and further study led to his registration as an Educational Psychologist. With a philosophy committed to lifelong learning, Paul is currently completing his MBA with a focus on leadership and management and is working towards submitting a PhD research proposal centred on Residential Care.
