Cronulla Sharks and Manly Sea Eagles conducts ‘Mind Blowing Project’ at Dunlea Centre, Australia’s Original Boys’ Town.
Our young people participated in the ‘Mind Blowing Project’, which included a series of five workshops that focused on personal investigation and development, including topics on self-identity, risk taking and goal setting. The highlight of each session was getting out to the oval for some activities and a game of touch footy with the players.
NRL footballers, Sione Katoa, Will Kennedy and Sosaia Feki from the Cronulla Sharks, and Semisi Kioa from the Manly Sea Eagles completed a work placement at the Dunlea Centre as a part of their Certificate IV in Youth Work with TAFE NSW.
The program culminated with a sports day where young people received some footy merchandise signed by their favourite players!
We thank these NRL players and TAFE NSW for this fabulous project.
We particularly wish the Sharkies another brilliant year of finals football.
